Advanced Settings

  • The device is set to DHCP by default.  This means it will look for a DHCP server to automatically assign it an IP address.  Most routers are configured to act as a DHCP server for connected devices by default.
  • Before attempting to configure a Static IP and the related settings, your network administrator must make the necessary preparations on the network's router, access points, smart switches, etc. to identify and accomodate the device with access and permissions.
  • The device's MAC Address is also displayed in this section.  This can be used by your network administrator to identify the device and provision a static IP address, and/or apply the needed access and permissions.

1. Tap the toggle button to switch from DHCP to Static IP mode to configure the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS servers used by the device.
