Depending on the preferences the administrator or supervisor sets up, employees can perform the following functions:

  • Clocking in via time clock
  • Clocking in via smartphone app


Clocking In Via Time Clock

Employees can clock in using a uAttend time clock. Depending on the time clock they are using, they can clock in with an RFID card, a PIN, their fingerprints, or by facial recognition.

Clocking In Via Smartphone Application

Employees can clock in using a smartphone application. For more information, see Setting Up Users for Smartphone App Clocking and Clocking In Using The Smartphone App.



- PIN Number—the PIN assigned to the user, if the user will clock in to a timeclock with a PIN.

- Badge Number—the badge number assigned to the user, if the user will clock in to a timeclock with a badge.

- Fingerprint ID—the fingerprint ID number assigned to the user, if the user will clock in to a timeclock with a fingerprint.

- Fingerprint ID2, ID3, ID4, ID5 —an alternate fingerprint ID number assigned to the user, if the user will clock in to a timeclock with a fingerprint, up to 5 fingerprints can be added to the Timeclock for each user.

- Face ID—the face ID number assigned to the user, if the user will clock in to a timeclock using facial recognition.

- Smartphone Clock—specifies whether or not the user can clock in using a smartphone app.
